The preparation plays the function of a pre-workout booster. When taken before physical effort, it increases endurance and positively influences sports efficiency. It may delay the occurrence of the first signs of fatigue and accelerate the process of post-workout recovery.
Beetroot juice is produced from the root of beet (Beta vulgaris). It is an incredibly popular and tasty vegetable, constitutes a powerful source of valuable nutritional and pro-health ingredients. Characteristic red color of beetroots indicated the presence of phyto-ingredients called betalains, witch are responsible for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxicating properties of beets. Moreover, beetroots contain a large concentration of trimethylglycine (TMG) and nitrates. The most recent studies proved that these compounds may improve muscle efficiency and increase physical efficiency.
Citrulline is a non-protein amino acid, which may be found i.a. in watermelons. It is an important factor of the urea Krebs cycle, i.e. the process of detoxification, in which harmful ammonia is transformed into urea and then eliminated from the organism. It also plays the role of an arginine precursor, which is responsible for the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO).

Beetroots contain many biologically active compounds, which are important for sports efficiency. The first group contains nitrates (NO3-). They are converted in the organism to nitrites (NO2-) and then transformed to nitric oxide (NO). Importantly, this process is the most efficient with low pH and small oxygen availability and such conditions appear in skeletal muscles during physical effort.
